01
First choose between thermal treatment, Day Spa and the park

“Going to the spa” can mean three different things at Terme di Comano. Choosing the correct option before you travel avoids booking the wrong entrance or expecting a swimming pool where a medical appointment is required.
- Thermal treatment programmes: structured health programmes run by Terme di Comano, normally organised around a medical assessment and a sequence of treatments;
- Thermal Spa and Day Spa: pools, steam, relaxation areas and wellness packages at the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano, with access for external guests subject to the selected Day Spa offer;
- Thermal park: the green setting around the complex, used for walks and scheduled Natural Wellness activities.
Start with the official thermal-programme catalogue if the purpose is treatment. For a relaxation day, compare the official Thermal Spa information and the current Day Spa packages (in Italian).
02
Why Comano thermal water is central to the experience

The official Trentino tourism information describes Comano water as low in minerals, rich in calcium, magnesium and bicarbonate, and naturally emerging at a constant 27°C. The spring was already known in Roman times, while today the centre is particularly associated with dermatological and respiratory treatment programmes.
That specialist role is different from a generic hot-spring visit. Read the official Terme di Comano overview, then ask your own clinician or the spa medical team whether a programme is appropriate for you. This visitor guide does not replace medical advice.
03
How to plan a thermal-treatment stay
The official programme catalogue covers several areas, including skin and respiratory care, with adult and paediatric options. Programme length, the initial assessment, treatments and documents vary, so confirm the complete plan directly with the spa before fixing travel dates.
- Choose the relevant programme only after reading its official eligibility and duration information.
- Ask the booking office which medical documents, prescription or referral are required for your situation.
- Confirm the first appointment, daily timetable and total number of treatment days.
- Only then reserve transport and accommodation for the full course.
Italian residents considering the National Health Service route should follow the current SSN instructions on the official programme page. Private and international guests should use the official Terme di Comano contact and booking details for the correct procedure.
04
Choose Day Spa when the aim is relaxation
The Thermal Spa belongs to the Grand Hotel Terme di Comano and is separate from a prescribed course of thermal treatments. Its official information lists indoor and outdoor pools, steam areas, saunas and relaxation spaces; external visitors can book through a Day Spa package.
The hotel currently states that the internal Thermal Spa spaces are reserved for guests over 12. Packages, prices, opening periods, included meals and treatments can change, so use the current official Day Spa page rather than an old brochure or third-party price list.
Before paying, check the arrival time, cancellation conditions, age rules, what the wellness kit includes and whether any treatment needs a separate reservation.
05
Leave time for the thermal park and the River Sarca

The 14-hectare thermal park is part of what makes Comano feel different from an urban spa. Official information describes walking space and scheduled Natural Wellness activities in the landscape beside the River Sarca.
Do not assume that every activity runs daily or that every area follows the same access rules. Recheck seasonal opening dates, the day’s programme, parking and accessibility with the relevant official page shortly before visiting.
The treatment centre’s published address is Località Terme di Comano 6, 38070 Stenico. The Grand Hotel and its Thermal Spa use a neighbouring address, so follow the confirmation for the service you actually booked.
06
Stay near Terme di Comano with an independent routine

Casa Regina 21 is an independent holiday home in Cares, not part of the thermal centre. The spa and park are approximately 1 km away; the pedestrian route indicated by the host takes about 10 minutes, while the driving route follows different local roads.
A kitchen, laundry area, Wi-Fi, free parking and private rooms can make a multi-day treatment schedule easier to organise. Read the dedicated accommodation near Comano Thermal Spa guide for the house, route and longer-stay details.
For a slower holiday that combines the park with lakes and gentle days outdoors, use the separate wellness and nature guide.
